Global agri-foods leader Lallemand was faced with a daunting cloud migration including three SharePoint environments with a huge amount of data and little visibility. SimCorp was manually managing data for over 2,000 users; a process that proved to be unsustainable with no way to keep track of permissions and unused content. To resolve this, permissions reports were used to help IT keep access secure, and automated prompts allowed teams to take on more data management. With manual data management, Arkin lacked visibility into which teams were inactive, orphaned, or sharing data externally. They used an automated system for alerts about inactive or orphaned teams, and reminders to ensure user access was up-to-date. By doing so, finding inactive and orphaned teams became 96% faster, and the vast majority were removed.
