ShareGate is becoming more.

To say that ShareGate has come a long way over the years would be an understatement.

When we first started building our migration tool, we didn't have much to work with. Everything had to be created from scratch. But we were young, we were driven, and, most importantly, we were passionate. Nothing was going to stop us from making our mark.

After two years of dedicated development, we came out with a tool that wasn't even on par with what the rest of the industry had to offer. We were newcomers in an already saturated market, our product was lacking, and the competition was cutthroat. At that point, very few people would have wagered on our success.

Despite the deck being clearly stacked against us, we put together an exceptional team and got right back to work.

We stuck to our values, bet everything on our belief in simplicity as a service, and against all odds, we won. ShareGate quickly grew to become one of the world's most widely used Office 365 migration and management tools. Over the years, we've helped thousands of organizations across the globe bring their business into the cloud, cementing ShareGate's reputation as a simple, straightforward solution that just plain works.

ShareGate's success taught us how to dream big and gave us the means to make it happen. We seized that opportunity to make our business something more.

I am hereby pleased to announce the beginning of a new era for ShareGate. We've broadened our vision. Reinvented our identity. Expanded our offerings into an ecosystem of products with the ShareGate brand as its backbone.

Make no mistake: migration will always be a big part of who we are. Our flagship migration tool isn't going anywhere, but it does have a new name: ShareGate Desktop. Joining its ranks are ShareGate Overcast (available now), a solution to help sysadmins understand and optimize their Azure consumption, and ShareGate Apricot (coming soon), a tool dedicated to facilitating governance and preventing sprawl in Office 365. We've also debuted a brand new visual identity for the occasion - see it in action on the new ShareGate website.

From our perspective, becoming more means a few different things. It means finding new ways to embody our vision and taking more risks in our day-to-day. It means becoming a role model for other organizations as we pursue responsible growth. Above everything else, it means we're committed to keep creating memorable products to help our valued clients tackle the current and future challenges of the cloud.

Migration is just the beginning. We're in this for the long run.
