"description": "Simon De Baene is the co-founder and CEO of Workleap, the company behind ShareGate. He started the business at 20 with two of his best friends, while studying software engineering in Montreal. It began as a services company doing SharePoint projects, and running into the same SharePoint challenges over and over gave them the idea for ShareGate, launched in 2009. What started as a simple tool to move files around SharePoint became the leading tool for migrating to Microsoft 365, used by more than 100,000 IT professionals around the world. Today, ShareGate helps IT teams migrate, secure, and optimize their Microsoft 365 tenant, giving them the control they need to roll out AI safely. Simon loves writing about product, strategy, and leadership.",
